Which should managers employ? Which really provide benefits at an

This programme has been designed to enable new Managers to sample
a range of 'Management Subjects' and to be able to decide from these
which ones are appropriate and useful to the full management team.
When this has been done, a training course covering the required subjects,
will be compiled and delivered.

Use of psychometric tests and personality questionnaires; Four key
aspects of interviewing; The uses of pro forma question scoring;
Use of knowledge based questions
- Improving Productivity by using Performance Appraisal - The three
key measurement areas for success; Linking motivational theory and
SMART goal setting techniques to produce measurable results; Use
of key scoring system for consistency and performance evaluation;
Tackling poor performers
- The Management of others - Understanding the appropriate management
style; Using a process to manage effectively (leadership model);

How you will learn:
This is a day based on discussion and comparison. Little formal instruction
is involved and the course provides a forum for assessment of alternatives
without any 'hard sell'.
